21 July, 2011. Culver City/London. Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has secured a raft of deals with international broadcasters for Pan Am, its glossy, period drama series set around the iconic, international airline.

SPT has licensed the ABC commissioned series to Canal+ in Spain, IMAGICA BS in Japan, Sony Entertainment Television across Latin America and TF1 in France. Other broadcasters set to air Pan Am include the Nine Network in Australia and CTV in Canada.

CULVER CITY, CA - July 20, 2011 - Sony Pictures Animation and Dark Horse Entertainment will develop an animated feature film based on the Dark Horse graphic novel series CHICKENHARE by Chris Grine, it was announced by Michelle Raimo-Kouyate, president of Sony Pictures Animation.

CULVER CITY, CA (July 11, 2011) - Scott Landsman has been named vice president of U.S. comedy development for Sony Pictures Television (SPT), it was announced today by Glenn Adilman, executive vice president, U.S. comedy development, SPT, to whom he reports.

In this role, Landsman will foster relationships with writers and creative talent and supervise new concepts from the idea stage through series launch for both cable and network programming.

CULVER CITY, Calif., July 5, 2011 - Adam Sandler will voice the lead role of Dracula in Sony Pictures Animation's 3D family comedy Hotel Transylvania, it was announced today by Bob Osher, president, Sony Pictures Digital Productions, and Michelle Raimo-Kouyate, president of production, Sony Pictures Animation. The film will be released on September 21, 2012, by Columbia Pictures.

CULVER CITY, Calif., June 29, 2011 Chris Hemsworth is attached to star in Columbia Pictures' Shadow Runner, it was announced today by Hannah Minghella, president of Production for Columbia Pictures. The forthcoming motion picture will be produced by Tripp Vinson and Beau Flynn of Contrafilms, and Will Ward of ROAR. The film is based on an original idea by Hossein Amini, who will executive produce the project.

Shadow Runner's plot is being kept under wraps.

Culver City, CA - June 29, 2011 - Sony 3D Technology Center today announced that it is expanding its 3D Master Class, which offers professional training in the tools and techniques for making 3D content, in collaboration with the Directors Guild of America and the Motion Pictures Editor's Guild. The two guilds join the International Cinematographer's Guild in offering member training opportunities at the Sony Pictures Studios facility, which is run by Sony Corporation of America.

(June 25, 2011) - Today, in honor of Global Smurfs Day, Smurfs fans in 11 cities around the world set a new Guinness World Records title for the Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Smurfs within a 24-hour Period in Multiple Venues, it was announced today by Marc Weinstock, president, Worldwide Marketing for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Sony Pictures Television (SPT) and UK production executive Victoria Ashbourne today announced the launch of a new joint venture production company, Victory Television Limited. The new venture will be headed by Ashbourne, previously SVP Creative Development, International Production, at SPT, who takes up the role of Managing Director.
