CULVER CITY, Calif., June 29, 2011 Chris Hemsworth is attached to star in Columbia Pictures' Shadow Runner, it was announced today by Hannah Minghella, president of Production for Columbia Pictures. The forthcoming motion picture will be produced by Tripp Vinson and Beau Flynn of Contrafilms, and Will Ward of ROAR. The film is based on an original idea by Hossein Amini, who will executive produce the project.

Culver City, CA - June 29, 2011 - Sony 3D Technology Center today announced that it is expanding its 3D Master Class, which offers professional training in the tools and techniques for making 3D content, in collaboration with the Directors Guild of America and the Motion Pictures Editor's Guild. The two guilds join the International Cinematographer's Guild in offering member training opportunities at the Sony Pictures Studios facility, which is run by Sony Corporation of America.

CULVER CITY, Calif. (June 3, 2011) - Columbia Pictures has optioned remake and sequel rights to Big Man Japan, which will be developed and produced into a new feature film by Neal H. Moritz through his Original Film banner, it was announced today by Hannah Minghella, president of production for Columbia Pictures. Big Man Japan was a breakthrough hit in Japan in 2007 and a cult hit in the United States in 2009. Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi will write the new adaptation.

The cybercrime wave that has affected Sony companies and a number of government agencies, businesses and individuals in recent months has hit Sony Pictures as well. Yesterday afternoon a group of criminal hackers known as "LulzSec" claimed to have breached some of our websites.

CULVER CITY, Calif (June 2, 2011) - Sony Pictures Television (SPT) today announced it has licensed its powerhouse slate of new drama series including “Charlie's Angels” “Pan Am” and “Unforgettable” to CTV in Canada. Canada's #1 broadcaster has also picked up the studio's hit reality series “The Sing Off” and another season of “Shark Tank.” The announcement was made by Keith Le Goy, president international distribution, SPT.
