CULVER CITY, CA and ZURICH, SWITZERLAND (April 23, 2013) - Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks and Dori Media Group (DMG) announced today that they have entered into an agreement for SPT Networks to acquire 50% of Televiva, DMG's telenovela channel in Indonesia.

Televiva, which offers viewers top quality first-run telenovelas dubbed into Bahasa Indonesia, is carried exclusively by Indovision, the nation's largest pay TV provider. The channel is popular among women ages 15 and over and boasts high viewership loyalty for its programming.

CULVER CITY, CA (April 22, 2013) - In advance of the nationwide release of After Earth, the highly anticipated film in theaters May 31, Columbia Pictures is teaming up with Google for a live "After Earth Day" Google+ Hangout tomorrow, April 23 - the day after Earth Day. The Google+ Hangout brings together some of the world's most renowned thinkers, inventors, authors, and futurists to discuss the film's themes and the future of our planet.

CULVER CITY, CA (April 22, 2013) - Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks today announced plans to launch getTV, a new US digital broadcast television network airing classic movies, in the fall of 2013. The third wholly owned Sony-branded channel in the US, getTV will premiere on the digital subchannels of Univision Television Group owned television stations. SPT is in active discussions with other stations groups in advance of launch. The announcement was made by Andy Kaplan, president, worldwide networks, SPT.

CULVER CITY, CA (April 17, 2013) - Pop icon Britney Spears will release a song for Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures Animation's highly anticipated family comedy "The Smurfs™ 2", entitled "Ooh La La," via Kemosabe / RCA Records. "Ooh La La," which will play at the end credits of the film, was written by Lukasz Gottwald (Dr. Luke), Joshua Coleman (Ammo), Henry Walter (Cirkut), Bonnie McKee, Jacob Kasher Hindlin (J Kash), Lola Blanc and Fransisca Hall and produced by Dr. Luke, Ammo and Cirkut for Prescription Songs.

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 10, 2013) - Columbia Pictures has acquired domestic distribution and a good portion of the available international distribution rights to David Ayer's epic war film FURY, with Brad Pitt set to star in the leading role, it was announced today by QED International CEO Bill Block and Doug Belgrad, President of Columbia Pictures. QED is producing the film with John Lesher's Le Grisbi Productions and Ethan Smith. Alex Ott is co-producing the feature with Ayer.

Los Angeles (April 9, 2013) - Eric Bana, Edgar Ramirez, and Olivia Munn have been signed to star in Screen Gems' BEWARE THE NIGHT, a paranormal thriller produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Scott Derrickson will direct the picture from a screenplay he and Paul Harris Boardman adapted. Production of the project is slated to begin in the Bronx on May 20th. BEWARE THE NIGHT again teams Derrickson and Boardman with Screen Gems where their first film, 2005's hit THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE, was made and distributed.
