Sony Pictures Television Networks has commissioned "Carter," a new series starring Jerry O'Connell ("Billions") and Sydney Poitier ("Chicago P.D."), for its international channels, including AXN.

In "Carter," Harley Mackay (O'Connell) is a detective on a hit American TV show who is forced to return to his sleepy hometown after an embarrassing public meltdown in Hollywood. Once back, Carter taps into his acting experience to become a real-life detective, partnering with long-time friend and no-nonsense veteran of the force, Sam St. Clair (Poitier).

NEW YORK (May 25, 2017) - Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired the North American rights to The Silent Man, the film based on the life of Mark Felt, the secret high-ranking FBI informant during the Watergate scandal who is famously known as "Deep Throat." The Silent Man is set for a September release, as the recent political turmoil has sparked a renewed public interest in Felt's story.

CULVER CITY, Calif., May 24, 2017 - Rough Night, the highly anticipated R-rated comedy about women directed by Lucia Aniello, brought the party to 20 cities across the country last night as Bustle fans rocked special advance screenings. Written and directed by Zhao (SONGS MY BROTHERS TAUGHT ME), THE RIDER premiered in Directors' Fortnight to critical acclaim. NEW YORK (May 17, 2017) - Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired all rights in North America and Latin America to Andrey Zvyagintsev's LOVELESS. The Russian language film will premiere In Competition at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, May 18.
