CULVER CITY, CA, August 31, 2009 - America's craziest trio of buffoons are back again when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment brings The Three Stooges Collection Volume Seven: 1952-1954 to DVD on November 10. This collection features 22 digitally remastered shorts that continue the Stooges legacy with the return of the original Stooge, Shemp. Included in this volume are such classics as the Stooges' 3D shorts: Spooks and Pardon my Backfire, presented for the first time in both 3D and 2D, as well as Shot in the Frontier, a parody of the classic film High Noon.

CULVER CITY, Ca., August 20, 2009 - Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment announced today that Michael Jackson THIS IS IT will be released exclusively for a special, limited, two-week engagement worldwide, with the studio pushing up the debut of the film by two days, to Wednesday, October 28th. Due to the anticipated demand for this film, tickets for the two-week presentation will go on sale in most cities beginning on Sunday, September 27th.

NEW YORK - August 10, 2009 - Apparition, Bill Pohlad and Bob Berney's new distribution company, will release The Young Victoria in the US on November 13. The GK Films production stars Emily Blunt as a girl thrust into power as the youngest British monarch. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group (SPWAG) will handle all domestic ancillary rights. The announcement was made jointly by Apparition, GK Films and SPWAG.

Culver City, Ca. (07/20/09) - Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) and Redbox Automated Retail have announced a multi-year distribution agreement which will make SPHE new release, direct-to-video and catalog titles available to consumers through more than 17,000 Redbox kiosks nationwide. CULVER CITY, Calif., July 8, 2009 - Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation have tapped Raja Gosnell (Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Scooby-Doo) to direct Smurfs, the live-action/animated film based on the legendary blue characters created by Peyo, it was announced today by Doug Belgrad and Matt Tolmach, presidents of Columbia Pictures, Bob Osher, president of digital production for Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Hannah Minghella, president of production for Sony Pictures Animation.

CULVER CITY, Calif., June 30, 2009 - George Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures are in final negotiations to sign an exclusive two-year theatrical development and production deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment, it was announced today by Amy Pascal, Co-Chairman of Sony Picture Entertainment and Chairman of the studio's Motion Picture Group.
