NEW YORK (May 12, 2025) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that BLUE MOON, directed by Academy Award^® nominee Richard Linklater (HIT MAN, BOYHOOD, BEFORE SUNSET) and written by Robert Kaplow (author of the novel Me and Orson Welles), will be released on October 17, 2025 in Los Angeles and New York, before expanding nationwide on October 24, 2025.

NEW YORK (May 5, 2025) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that Kate Beecroft’s EAST OF WALL will release theatrically in select cities on August 15, 2025. Written and directed by Kate Beecroft, EAST OF WALL is about female resilience in a marginalized, neglected corner of the American West. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award in the NEXT category, and will make its New York debut at the 2025 Tribeca Festival this June.

Culver City, CA – April 7, 2025 – Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that Jay Levine has been named Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and Business Operations, reporting directly to SPE President and CEO, Ravi Ahuja. In this role, Levine will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives while overseeing corporate development, investments, and mergers and acquisitions as well as providing direct oversight of a portfolio of SPE businesses and departments.

NEW YORK (March 20, 2025) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they will release Embeth Davidtz’s directorial debut, DON’T LET’S GO TO THE DOGS TONIGHT, on July 11, 2025 in Los Angeles and New York, before expanding in the following weeks.

NEW YORK (March 14, 2025) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired all worldwide rights to OH, HI!, written and directed by Sophie Brooks (THE BOY DOWNSTAIRS). The film, which serves as Brooks' sophomore feature and stars Molly Gordon, Logan Lerman, Geraldine Viswanathan, and John Reynolds, charmed audiences and critics alike at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

NEW YORK (March 6, 2025) – Sony Pictures Classics announced today they will release JANE AUSTEN WRECKED MY LIFE in theaters in select markets on May 16, 2025, followed by a nationwide rollout. The film, written and directed by Laura Piani, had its world premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and recently made its US debut as the opening night film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

CULVER CITY, CA (February 19, 2025) – Mike Wald and Jason Spivak have been named Co-Presidents of Distribution & Networks for Sony Pictures Television (SPT) it was announced today. They will continue to report to Keith Le Goy, who took the helm as SPT Chairman last month.
