SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT RETURNS TO LICENSING EXPO 2024 TO CELEBRATE UNPARALLELED SLATE OF TIME-HONORED AND TRENDING PROPERTIES

CULVER CITY, CA – May 16, 2024 – Sony Pictures Consumer Products will exhibit its diverse portfolio of properties at this year’s Licensing Expo, which combines timeless classics and evergreen releases with new and modern content. Amongst the expansive collection of IPs are the enduring Ghostbusters and Karate Kid properties, both set to celebrate 40-year anniversaries in 2024, as well as contemporary standouts including The Boys, Cobra Kai, Gen V, The Last of Us, Goosebumps, Twisted Metal, and many more.
As part of their booth presence, Sony Pictures will reintroduce an in-booth 15-foot video wall with a state-of-the-art interactive display, so attendees can immerse themselves in beloved brands including Ghostbusters and Karate Kid.

From Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Motion Picture Group, in March, Sony Pictures unveiled a slate of new products and unique collaborations in tandem with the theatrical premiere of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. The robust consumer products program, anchored by key licensees including Hasbro, Funko, Timberland, and Kellogg’s, was designed to transcend generational boundaries and resonate with fans of all ages, with all interests.
Continuing momentum into the Fall, fans can come alive as their favorite Ghostbusters character on Halloween, with lines of costumes and accessories coming from Disguise (costume division of JAKKS Pacific), Spirit Halloween, and Fun.com.
Following the theatrical success of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Ghostbusters will expand the iconic franchise with an upcoming animated series from Sony Pictures Animation currently in development with Netflix.
Heading into an exciting year in 2025, Sony Pictures Entertainment will introduce two highly-anticipated films. On May 30, 2025, a new installment from the original Karate Kid franchise will make its theatrical debut and on. January 17, 2025, Sony Pictures’/Studiocanal’s Paddington In Peru will be released.
From Sony Pictures Television, 2024 will see the highly anticipated return of The Boys season 4 on June 13th on Prime Video.
Later this year, the much awaited sixth and final season of Cobra Kai will return to Netflix, closing the chapter on an epic karate journey. Season 6 of Cobra Kai is comprised of 15 episodes which will air in 3 parts. Part 1 will hit Netflix on July 18, followed by part 2 on November 28, and the finale in 2025.
Sony Pictures Television will also welcome several new adult animation properties to their slate of television IPs, including the upcoming first seasons of Universal Basic Guys as part of Fox’s Sunday night Animation Domination lineup, and Sausage Party: Foodtopia premiering July 11 on Prime Video.
A new YouTube channel featuring hit Netflix preschool series The Creature Cases will release short form content weekly. Toy partner PMI will launch an exciting new toy line including vehicles, figures and playsets in Spring 2025.
In anticipation of forthcoming second seasons, SPCP will announce the expansion of licensing programs for Goosebumps on Disney+ and Hulu, The Last of Us on Max, Twisted Metal on Peacock, and Gen V on Prime Video.
An expansive consumer products program of over 1,000 products across 30 licensed partners is set to accompany the season 4 release of The Boys. Details on the program can be found below:

- Fans can shop The Boys apparel at international retailers Primark (UK) and HMV and The Souled Store (India) for Apparel.
- The dedicated Amazon retail storefront for The Boys is home to licensed apparel, accessories, collectibles and more.
