Sony Pictures Classics To Release Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine On 300 Screens This Weekend
New York, NY (December 10, 2013) - Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they will release again Woody Allen's BLUE JASMINE on 300 screens nationwide this weekend. The film has already been named one of the Best Films of the Year by publications such as Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone. Cate Blanchett has garnered numerous accolades in the Best Actress category from critics' groups around the country for her role as Jasmine, an elegant New York socialite who moves into her sister's apartment in San Francisco after everything in her life falls to pieces.
The film has also received Independent Spirit Award nominations including Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress for Sally Hawkins. This is Allen's 6th film with Sony Pictures Classics.
